Shannon - Margaret White

Mrs. Margaret Shannon, 61, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday Culver Hospital. She had been a patient there since Friday. Death was attributed to a stroke. Mrs. Shannon was born April 17, 1902, the daughter of Charles and Leona Bible White. She was married July 27, 1924, to Martin Shannon. Mrs. Shannon belonged to the Order of Eastern Star and was a past matron of that organization. She was a member of the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. She was formerly employed at Fredman’s Clothing Store, now Rapp’s and worked for sometime in the office at Culver Hospital. She was a 1921 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. Survivors, in addition to the husband, include two daughters, Mrs. Edward Butler of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Robert Keeling of Lebanon, and four grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Shannon will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. John G. DeKruyter officiating. Burial will be in Shannondale Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday.
